McDermott presents Workshop on "Leading Strategic Business Development at Your Firm" in April 2009 for Florida Chapter Association for Accounting Marketing

The Association for Accounting Marketing's new Florida Chapter's first meeting was held in Tampa, Florida. Lynda McDermott was asked to present "Leading Strategic Business Development at Your Firm" to the marketing and business development professionals who attended from Florida-based accounting firms.

The Objectives of the workshop were:

  • • What are the functions of Business Development (and how are they different from the Marketing function)?
  • • Who should be accountable and responsible for Business Development in your firm? i.e. What is the Business Development model that works best with your firm's culture?
  • • How should you measure and reward Business Development performance?
  • • What are the critical Business Development competencies and how do you develop them?
  • • What are some of the business development "best practices" being used by leading edge accounting firms?
